WhatsApp announces that their team is working on new animated emojis. Last month WhatsApp was working on Lottie animations to integrate into their app. Now they are working on 6 additional animated emojis. Many users have requested this feature for the past year, so WhatsApp announced that working on additional animations that will be added in future updates.
Telegram added these animations a long time ago, but WhatsApp is now working on these animations, which provide a fantastic messaging experience to users without unnecessary animations.
WhatsApp is working on more additional animated emojis in their upcoming versions. They are currently working on 6 animated emojis, including party face, Face with tears of joy, red heart and fire, Face with open mouth, crying Face, and face crying out loud. All the animated images are optimized and supported by almost all Android and IOS devices.
All the animated emojis are under development and have not confirmed the release date by WhatsApp, but in the future, they may be available in the WhatsApp beta program. So this feature is currently available only on the WhatsApp desktop app’s beta version and is not available in the beta program for Android and IOS.
